Christmas Day

Christmas came and went again. It marks for me ,every year, the beginning of the drudgery until Spring. Anyway here are some pics of my awesome kids. We also spent the day with Marci's family and there are some pictures of them as well.

This is a tradition in Marci's family. All the kids line up in order of age youngest first.

This was the first time we had started the fire place this year. The boys were way more into that than opening Christmas presents. (I think Zacky was still a little asleep)

This is a momentous occasion for Evan. It's his first Æbleskiver! These are a tradition in Marci's family. They claim it's Danish, but I'm Danish and haven't heard of them. They're good anyway, taste just like pancakes.

This is just a great song. Anyone who knew me, especially in my college days with Booger and Heav, knows this song really applies to me. Besides the scenery is awesome.

I spent most of today doing some thing in Provo, but Marci said that Evan ate 4 hotdog's for dinner. For some reason that amazes me. I can only gag down one.

Christmas Eve

This year for Christmas we opted out of the Marci's family  party, and decided to go to the my families party.  It worked out that most of my family was going to be there rather than on Christmas day and visa-versa.

Here are some pictures of the boys at Grandmas and Grandpas along with other family members.

This is Evan and Marci.  Grandma made everyone new stuffed animals.

Zacky also got a Transformer from Grandma and Grandpa.  He loves it.  Transformers are way better than when I was a kid, although you almost have to have an engineering degree to transform them.

Random Stuff Off My Phone

I'm not sure how we survived 10 years ago.  Cell phones were still a few hundred dollars and didn't offer such features as camera or MP3 player.  Anyway I was looking through my phone and decided to post some random pics.  Here they are:

 

Zacky and I went to the store to finish our Christmas shopping.  He just had to borrow a hat.

And last but not least, this is the newest member of our extended family.  Mark and Kelly just received a new sand-rail.  We're very proud of them, and look forward to seeing it out and about this spring.

The Trailer Park Nation

I just spent a week in South Dakota.  It was really cold, and there wasn't a whole lot of anything there.  Anyway I decided to call it "The Trailer Park Nation", because there were a lot, I mean a lot of trailer parks there.

I also took a short trip out to Sturgis.  Seems like a nice little town everyday except for this (which I'm sure in my younger years would have been a lot of fun).

This is a crappy photo, but here is Mount Rushmore.  It was a little disappointing how big it was.

This was with the camera on full zoom.  It's really hard to get good pictures of it because it's so far away, and not very big.  I can't say I would plan a trip to go all the way out there just to see this, but then I don't know why else you would go to Mount Rushmore, unless you were just passing through.

When I finally made it there (after work) I was the only one there.  This was at about 4 p.m. (notice how dark it is) and they had to turn the lights on for me so I could see it.

The Things I Am Thankful For

Because Thanksgiving came and went I thought I would put the list together and share it.

26 Things I am Thankful For!!!

1. Toilet Paper (let's be honest)
2. My Hottie Wife (who is also understanding, usually)
3. Happy, Health, Kids who sleep through the night
4. My kids (who are also happy and healthy, well maybe healthy)
5. Parents who have been great examples
6. Brothers and Sisters
7. In-laws who would be my second choice for parents
8. An Amazing Education (which makes me "Sort of a Big Deal")
9. My Employer (even though I don't like working for "The Man" or the "War Mongerer" (reference Stark Enterprises) the check clears every two week).
10. A house to live in
11. An Awesome Black Truck
12. The 4 wheeler to go in back (with cheap tires)
13. Great Friends (new and old even a presidential candidate (see my first post 10-29-08))
14. The ice maker in the fridge (I would like the water too but right now it's broke and has been for years)
15. Pizza (anything without mushroom, olives, and anchovies)(and for Marci's benefit no spinach either)
16. Our country and all those who fight for it
17. Great Music and taste in it (Especially anything good that came out of the 90's)
18. Great Authors who write good books (Vince Flynn, John Grisham, James Patterson, to name a few)
19. Peppermint Ice Cream (the only really good ice cream) with little pieces of candy cane
20. No Pets (sorry B I'm out on this one)
21. The iPod, this one really doesn't need explaining (item 17)
22. The Internet which has helped repair my poor credit score from the early 90's
